Several Minnesota based AAA teams will take their talents to Chicago next weekend for the ChiTown Shuffle. A premier tournament for elite AAA hockey players and teams, mostly from the Midwest. Saturday marked the first time most of the top teams faced off locally this Spring. There were top match-ups from '01 to '04 yesterday and a few more on Sunday to boot.

YHH caught two games, one at the '04 level between the Blades and the Steeldogs and another between the '01 Blades and the '01 Machine. All four teams are stacked with high end all star talent from all over the greater metro area. Some of these teams are attracting players from as far as Rochester and Moorhead.

The Blades won both games. The '04 team, with several new faces beat the Steeldogs 7-1 in impressive fashion and the '01s outscored the Orange 8-5 in a thrilling 8-5 shootout.

Other Saturday Games of Note

Two of the top '02 teams faced off yesterday when Machine Orange played the Euro Red. These two have faced each other several times over the past 2 years with each winning an even share. Yesterday the Orange won 3-1.

The '03 Steeldogs beat Tommy Chicago's (10-1) and the Magicians (10-2) showing that they could be a force to reckon with at the '03 level this year in MN and the Midwest. They face the Machine Orange Sunday at Noon.
