Coached by Former NHLer and Stanley Cup Champion John Sim

As the North American Hockey Showcase approaches, YHH plans to do a team preview of each team as they prepare for their journey to Minneapolis in June. This week we dive into one of our Canadian teams from the far east coast of Canada. We received this write up from TA and it was so priceless, we didn't edit a thing. A great read that will likely get you excited for the tourney in June.

Team Selection

Coach Sim, along with Atlantic Hockey group and its network of over 350 coaches and scouting officials have selected a roster of top players to represent Atlantic Canada at The North American Hockey Showcase.

Atlantic Hockey Group's (AHG) program has become one of the most successful in Atlantic Canada. Through programs such as the Charlie Bourgeois Hockey School, the Atlantic "AAA" Series, the Elite Hockey Program, Development Hockey Program and the Atlantic Selects, the AHG works with over 5000 hockey players each year from Atlantic Canada with hands on training with the region’s top hockey players.

The Atlantic region is made up of the provinces Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick. Player selections were based on coaching and scouting reports from months of game evaluations, season statistics and player profiles.

Team Atlantic players will bring door shutting goal-tending, versatile defencemen that combine solid play without the puck and mobility with the puck, along with a group of forwards who will show case a combination of speed, vision, grit and play 200 feet.

A talented group of kids. Each chosen for specific, individual qualities they bring to create Team Atlantic at The Show.
