Sioux Falls took out Tri City Friday 4-3 in a Clark Cup Semifinal game in Sioux Falls in front of an announced crowd of 5,201 at the Sanford Premier Center.  California native Troy Loggins had two goals to lead the Stampede to a key win in the best of five series. The Herd can clinch Saturday on home ice and get a berth in the league playoff final.

Sioux Falls took a 1-0 lead and all the momentum into the second period, but North Dakota recruit Chris Wilkie scored a power play goal for Tri City to stem the Sioux Falls tide. With the Storm slowly gaining control of the game, Loggins scored his second goal of the game on a bouncing puck goal that beat LA King draftee Alec Dillon to give the Herd a 2-1 lead after two.

In the third, Sioux Falls scored what appeared to be a back breaking short handed goal by Logan O'Connor to give the Stampede a 3-1 lead. The Denver recruit used his tremendous speed to win a loose puck and beat Dillon five hole.

Former Benilde Star Dan Labosky had a nice game for Tri City Friday.

After two Sioux Falls penalties 40 seconds apart, Michigan State commit Mason Appleton scored on a loose puck snipe to cut the Stamped lead to 3-2. With Sioux Falls on its heels, Tri City got the equalizer four minutes later when Edina's Dan Labosky fed Chase Berger on the back door and the future Penn State winger buried it to tie the score at 3 with a little over four minutes to go.

With the game on the line and Tri City in control, Sioux Falls got the break of the game. With 93 seconds left in the game, Ryan Schwalbe fed a puck in front of the net from the far corner that mysteriously beat Dillon for the game winner. The goal was Schwalbe's first playoff tally for the MSU Mankato signee.

The Stampede will go for the Western Conference title Saturday on home ice at the Denny Sanford Premier Center.
