'14 Girls MVP Kensie Malone
Last Fall, 150 of the best PeeWee aged boys and girls played in the inaugural PeeWee Challenge held at Bloomington Ice Garden. Players were invited and subsequently drafted onto even teams that competed all weekend for bragging rights amongst association friends and summer friends. The Mavericks lead by Sophia Doll's last minute goal won the Girls title and the Huskies lead by Billy Rose and Charlie Strobel won the Boys title.
This year, the event has been expanded to include five teams at three levels. Major PeeWee, Minor PeeWee and Girls (11 and 12). The teams will participate at Bloomington Ice Garden the same weekend as the Bantam Elite League playoffs, meaning over 400 of the state's best players aged 11 to 15 will all be in the same venue.
