A north wind blew into Bloomington and put a Summer freeze on the Americans Wednesday. The Canadian teams won 9 of 14 games in regulation and lost two in overtime. Only one American team, Great Lakes, won both of their games, the rest either lost one or both.
Tourney favorite Ontario Black blazed a trail through the Midwest, beating both The Great Plains and Midwest by identical 5-2 scores. Atlantic Provinces came into The Show and won the hearts of fans by beating Midwest (5-3) and Mid Atlantic (6-3). Team Alberta ate up the competition like it was Red Alberta meat, beating Southeast 2-0 and Team USA 5-2. And the last team from Canada to win both games was fittingly, Team Canada. The Canucks beat Team USA (7-1) and Team West (4-2). All four teams are deadlocked heading into Thursday's single game before they head into the final two days of two-a-days.
The US had some bright spots...Great Lakes and Southeast both won in OT, Cutter Gauthier had went top shelf for Great Lakes to beat BC and Seamus Casey went backhand to score his second of the game for Southeast to give them a win over Ontario Red.
Great Plains rebounded for a nice win on Wednesday afternoon beating Quebec 5-1...Isaac Howard had 4 Goals for GP.
