Team Grey claimed third place at Mariucci Arena during the morning session as it downed Team Maroon 9-3 led by Carson Bantle, Joe Miller and Matt Gleason, who all scored two goals for team Grey. 

Ben Troumbly, Luke Johnson, and Carson Bantle also scored for Team Grey, which got sparkling goaltending from Ethan Mork and Jacob Lissick. 

Team Grey pulled away in the last minutes of the game, scoring four goals in the last six minutes and 42 seconds for the win. 

Lissick was named the Gatorade Most Determined Player of the Game. 

In the championship game, it took a slap shot from the blue line by Brett Oberle to give Team Gold a last-minute 8-7 victory to cap a perfect 3-0 mark in 5-on-5 action. 

Oberle’s shot through traffic found the back of the net with just 0:51 to play in the second half, and gave him two goals for the game. 

Carter Johnson emerged, scoring two goals and adding three assists, powering the Team Gold offense to the title. 

Teddy Lagerback, Will Mortenson, Joshua Schurrer, and Caden Triggs tacked on goals for Team Gold. 

Team White had six different players score, paced by Blake Biondi’s pair of tallies. 

Shane Lavelle, Lucas Jorgenson, Cullen Gess, Zach Michaelis, and Jonah Mortenson also marked the scoresheet for Team White. 

3-ON-3 GAME 1: GOLD 1 VS. GREY 2

Our first 3-on-3 game featured a dozen skilled players, but it was Grey 2’s Stevan Blauert that stole the show with a game-high seven goals, leading Grey 2 to a dominant 25-9 win. Matt Gleason and Ben Troumbly each scored five goals for Team Grey, and Ty Ballinger led Team Gold 1 with four goals. 

3-ON-3 GAME 2: MAROON 1 VS. WHITE 2

Grant Kwapik scored six goals, and Kai Stansberry scored four goals to spark Team Maroon 1 to a 19-9 win over Team White 2. Team Maroon 1 pulled away from Team White 2 with several opportunistic plays, leading to multiple goals without interruption. Team White 2’s Joey Pierce led the team with four goals. 

3-ON-3 GAME 3: GREY 1 VS. MAROON 2

Diminutive Joe Miller scored five goals to pace Team Grey 1 to a 16-8 win over Team Gold 2, juking and jiving through defenders and displaying exceptional play in transition. Luke Johnson, Jonas Lundquist, Carson Bantle, and Jack Nei all scored two goals for Team Grey 1. Adrian Franco scored three goals for Team Maroon. 

3-ON-3 GAME 4: WHITE 1 VS. GOLD 2

In our late game, fatigue of defenders may have played a role as Team White 1 downed Team Gold 2 21-17 in a shootout. Nolan Krenzen and Zach Michaelis scored five and four goals respectively for Team White. Brett Oberle scored six goals for Team Gold 2, and Carter Johnson notched four scores in the loss.
