The Flyers (1-1) scored four goals in the last 16 minutes of the second half to come away with the win over the Kings (0-2) on Thursday night.

The first half ended with the score tied 2-2, with Nathan Warner (St. Cloud) and Killian Kiecker-Olson (Anoka) notching goals for the Flyers, while Lucas Wahlin (Woodbury) and Jared Anderson (Rochester) scoring for the Kings.

After Jacob Hale (Minneapolis) opened the second half with a goal to put the Kings up 3-2, it was all Flyers.

Second-year Peewee and Wiz Wyatt Player of the Year award winner Matt Gleason (St. Paul) tied the game 3-3, and A.J. Kittelson (Minnetonka), Grant Docter (Minnetonka), and Kiecker-Olson added goals to put the game out of reach and cement the win for the Flyers.

When the top Bantam players in Minnesota got head-to-head, scoring is usually inevitable.

Don't tell that to the Lightning goaltenders.

Will Johnson (Lakeville) and Cade Kujawski (Prior Lake) combined to stop 25 shots and blank the Bruins (1-1) in the 3-0 win.

The first half went by scoreless before Charles Schoen (Andover) broke the ice midway through the second half for the Lightning (2-0).

Will Francis (Centennial) and Trevor Janicke (Osseo/Maple Grove) added insurance goals for the Lightning.

Despite the loss, Joe Daninger (Blaine) and Bailey Huber (Wayzata) played admirably in goal for the Bruins, stopping a combined 27 shots.

The Wild (0-2) can't seem to catch a break in close games, losing their first two games by identical 6-5 scores.

The Penguins (2-0) however, find breaks all over the ice, winning both their games in come-from-behind efforts.

The Pens scored twice in the final minutes of the second half, forcing a 5-5 tie with the Wild before heading into the shootout tie-breaker.

The Penguins' Dylan Schneider (Rochester) scored the deciding goal, and  Brennan Boynton (Champlin Park) did not allow a goal in the shootout, giving the Penguins the 6-5 win.

Tommy Winges (Sibley), Logan Kittleson (Burnsville), and Liam Malmquist (Edina) all scored for the Wild in the first half, with Robert Klein (Highland Central), Ryan Lesko (Eden Prairie), and Bryce Brodzinski (Blaine) scoring the equalizers for the Penguins.

The Wild scored two goals to open the second half, one each from Nicholas Vega (Edina) and Tyler Rollwagen (Bloomington), opening up a 5-3 lead that held until Devan Beintema (Bloomington) scored to trim the lead to one goal at 5-4.
