Andover puts one on the board Friday against OMG.

Game 1: Osseo/Maple Grove 14, Andover 6

In a matchup of two talented squads, OMG pulled away in this one. The Crimson scored five unanswered goals to start the game, and then scored five more unanswered after Andover had pulled within 8-4. This group can score in bunches. Leading the Crimson were Brock Faber (Wiz Wyatt '14) with three goals and two assists, and Ethan Elias with four goals and two assists.

Game 2: Woodbury 38, Armstrong 9

Scoring early and often, Woodbury earned its first of two victories on Friday. Connor Nelson, Blake Polifka, and Max Zupfer each scored five goals (with Zuper also notching a pair of assists), while Dylan Sydor scored four goals and added two assists.

Game 3: Mahtomedi 13, Elk River 11

Mahtomedi managed to edge Elk River despite a spirited comeback by the Elks. The Zephyrs held a 13-9 lead late in the game, before Joe Greniuk and Jake Kotzian scored back-to-back for the Elks, making the score 13-11. Ray Olson led the Zephyrs with three goals and two assists, and the Elks were paced by Connor Kurth's three goals.

Game 4: Woodbury 14, Mound-Westonka 6

The Predators came away with their second victory of the day during the night session, bursting out of the gates to a 4-0 lead and never looking back. Woodbury showed off its depth in its second game, with Drew Fisher scoring a game-high five points on four goals and one assist.

Game 5: White Bear Lake 18, Chaska/Chanhassen 13

This one was nail-biter until late in the second half. After trading the lead several times throughout the game, the Bears and StormHawks were tied 13-13. But the depth and balance of the Bears won out, with five different players scoring to finish the game with a win. Lleyton Roed led the way for the Bears, scoring a ridiculous five goals and four assists in the win.

Caden Nienow shows off his moves on a slick goal in 14-6 win over Mound-Westonka.
