Shooting a puck isn't the only way to improve your shot for ice hockey. Training with floorball like many NHL pros do will help you develop softer hands and a quicker release of your shot, so you can score more goals.

Pavel Barber is here with his floorball stick and a game situation scoring drill that involves shooting with both your forehand and backhand while cutting through the slot. Pavel goes over some floorball shooting mechanics and offers some tips on effective weight transfer and how to disguise your shot. This is also an excellent reactionary and positional drill for the goalies out there!

Picking up floorball training is easy! All you need is a stick and a floorball. We carry a wide range of Exel sticks for all ages and skill levels, including the same ones used at the Gretzky Hockey School.  And unlike other stickhandling trainers, our xDeviator™ can also be adjusted into configurations that will work for floorball training.
