Hayden Davison scores for Wayzata Sunday

Wayzata took the Orange Bracket of the Big Pumpkin with a 5-4 over Cloquet in Moorhead. After coughing up a 2-1 lead in the second period, the Trojans fought back and won 5-4. With the score tied 3-3, Hayden Davison and Ben Etzel scored six seconds apart to give Wayzata the lead for good and a piece of hardware in their first tournament of the year. Davison finished with a goal and two assists. Cloquet's Mason Langenbrunner had 1G/2A for the Lumberjacks.

Other Orange Bracket Scores

White Bear Lake > Stillwater (5-3)

Jackson Bisson scores shorthanded for Edina Sunday

Number two Edina held Osseo Maple Grove scoreless on seven power play chances and beat the top ranked Leafbirds Sunday 4-1 to capture the Big Pumpkin. The Jackson 2 - Jackson Borst and Jackson Bisson - lead the Hornets with a goal and an assist a piece. Bisson got the Green on the board with an opportunistic short handed goal to tie the score. Borst set up Drew Hatch to give the Hornets the lead on a nifty pass to his linemate.

Edina was able to match OMG's speed and puck control the entire game and made the most of their opportunities. They also did a great job of keeping the Leafbirds off balance and to the outside on the powerplay.

Other Black Bracket Scores

Eden Prairie > Apple Valley (6-3)...Eagles take third, Eagles take fourth
Chaska Chan > St. Cloud (3-2)...Gavin Brown scores GWG with :44 left for StormHawks as they finish 4-1 on weekend.
