Michael Mancinelli says "forget about it" and leads Compuware to two wins Friday
Thirty-two teams converged on Chicago's west side to try to stake claim on one of the country's biggest Tier 1 tournament titles. Each team in the Supreme field played two pool play games on Friday. Teams that won twice moved onto the Sweet 16, some will face a seeding game, some will need to take care of business Saturday to claim top seeds heading to the playoffs Saturday night.
The lone surprise came Friday night when Team Wisconsin beat Minnesota number two team Edina 8-4 in the H Pool. The Hornets will have to beat the NJ Avalanche Saturday to avoid eliimination - no easy task, they skated to a tie with TW earlier Friday.
The other two Minnesota teams both won their pair of games Friday and are headed to the playoffs Saturday night. Top ranked Minnetonka beat the Arizona Bobcats and the Jersey Hitmen. Blaine beat the Chicago Fury and Omaha on Friday.
Once the seeds are established Saturday, eliminated teams will play crossover games and pack their bags. The top 16 will play Sarturday night for the right to play Sunday in the Final 8.
