Jack Bayless and the Minnetonka Skippers will take the Eden Prairie Tournament this weekend

Commentary

Some great Bantam hockey this weekend. Minnetonka is the big favorite in Eden Prairie. Mahtomedi is a solid team, we look for them to take the Burnsville tournament, a few really good teams down there this weekend. We've learned that you can never predict against a Wayzata Bantam B team. We like them in the Eden Prairie tournament. We also like Osseo Maple Grove in the North Metro tournament, the Leafbirds haven't lost yet.

Marc Lund and the Hornets look to repeat as EP Champs this weekend

Commentary

The Eden Prairie tournament is a three team race, with the edge to Big Pumpkin champs, Edina. Despite losing in their first pool game, we still like Apple Valley's chances in the Burnsville tournament. The Mounds View PWA tournament is blessed with some great teams. A Mounds View/Mankato game would be fun to see.

William Whitelaw and the Rosemount Irish will be in Burnsville this weekend

Commentary

The place to be in Squirt A's this weekend is Burnsville. So many great teams packed into two of the three pools makes for some great action. Rosemount beat Edina 4-3 last night in a battle of top ten teams. In fact, every game in Pool C is a test (Rosemount, Edina Green, Woodbury and Prior Lake...wow). No matter what, we like OMG to win it in Burnsville.

Speaking of OMG, we predict all three OMG Squirt B teams to win this weekend, based on how strong their SQA team is, their B's should be tough.

Edina's Vivian Jungels scores this Fall in the PeeWee Challenge

Commentary

Andover and Edina will have a score to settle in 12A. Both teams have stacked rosters. The Hornets have Vivian Jungels, Hannah Chorske and Ashley Halvorson and the Huskies have Peyton Hemp, Gabbie Krause and Kylie Roberts. Simply two of the best U12 teams Minnesota has probaby ever seen.
