Jonathan Toews in his Bauer equipment
Consistent with the Christmas spirit, General Sports in partnership with Bauer are going to donate a complete set of hockey equipment to one needy family this year.
The program is set up to help out a family that has suffered hardship in the last year by giving their son our daughter a free set of custom equipment. "We'd love to help out a family that either can't afford the game or have had some tough times to stay in the game. What better way to do that in this time of year," said General Sports GM Matt Happala.
The family awarded the prize will receive one set of equipment:
Bauer will donate the equipment and General Sports in Edina will outfit and customize the player with perfectly fit skates and stick. A retails value of at least $2,000.
To submit your family or a family that has fallen on hard times, send an email to Youth Hockey Hub. General Sports and YHH will choose one lucky family. Deadline for entry is Wednesday, December 23.
