Dylan Sundquist scores for Greenway Monday
William Blake from Breck (say that 10 times) has the Mustangs pointing toward the finals
A great day for hockey Moday...56 games all over the state. YHH made to as many as we could. Including eight at the Super Rink in Blaine and one at the Sports Authority in St. Louis Park. We also saw two epic live streams between Edina/STA and Lakeville North/Benilde. Those two games went to overtime simultaneously!
Benilde and North skated to a tie and so did Edina and STA. However, Edina got the win in a shootout.
Our day at the Super Rink saw a few great games. Princeton continues to impress, they beat a very well coached Minnehaha club 2-1, taking over the game in the second half skating to a nice win. We also saw Greenway for the first time...and did they make a nice first impression. The Raiders won our hearts with a very cool uniform and even better two-way play. Beating Spring Lake Park 7-2. AA Anoka also looked polished in their win over Blake. Isaac Johnson showed why he is one of the best uncommitted players in the country scoring three goals.
Here is a recap of the Schwan Cup quarterfinals and Sports Authority tournament hosted by BSM. Also take a look at every score from around the state.
Notes from other games Monday:
Hibbing over Brainerd....we see you Blue Jackets, we see you.
SPA over Mankato West...the Spartans are picking up steam.
Thief River over Alex...the Prowlers can't be trusted.
Jefferson over Woodbury...the Jags look to repeat in South St. Paul
