Isaac Johnson lead Anoka to Schwan Bronze title
The day after Christmas YHH lined up and took a shot at predicting winner's of several (16 to be exact) tournament winners. High School to Squirts..AA's to B, we took a shot at it.
All in all, we predicted seven of the 16 winners, we also had five predicted winners that took second place. So we were in the ball park for 12 of 16 championship games.
Fun to see so many games at so many levels. We saw the top boys high school teams in the Schwan's Cup, we saw two #1 versus #2 matchups at Squirts and PeeWees. We also saw a lot of teams come out of nowhere and shine.

Danny Nelson, Osseo Maple Grove Squirt
We saw some great players and great plays over the past 10 days, it was almost like a late Christmas present. Here are a few that really stood out:
Kole Kalisch, Greenway - powerful forward that plays high on the power play, lead Raiders to Schwan Cup Open title.
Oliver Moore, Mounds View Irondale - this Squirt eligible PeeWee lead MVI with 11 points in five games. First cousin to Benilde St. Margaret's senior Auggie Moore.
Danny Nelson, Osseo Maple Grove - this first year Squirt looks more like a PeeWee. He can score in bunches and play very physical.
Mike Vorlicky, Edina - almost looks too easy for this highly skilled Bantam AA defenseman at times. Runs the power play well for Edina and is a great leader.
