Sidney Jackel’s latest end-to-end rush is one she won’t soon forget. With the score deadlocked at 1-1 after three periods, Eden Prairie and Minnetonka Black headed to overtime to decide the champion.
Midway through the extra session, Jackel scooped up a loose puck in her own end, skated the length of the ice, and slipped the puck past the Tonka goaltender to end the game.
Taylor Koeppl scored the first goal for the Eagles, and Shieru Higuchi tied the game late in the third period on a shorthanded goal for the Skippers.

Maddie Bowers flushes this one home for the Hornets
After taking a modest 1-0 lead into the second period, Edina exploded for six goals in the second frame en route to a resounding 8-0 win over Proctor/Hermantown.
Eight different players scored for the Hornets, with Kelly Collins, Berit Lindborg and Ashley Halverson getting a goal and adding an assist each.
Maddy Bowers, Jane Kuehl, Lauren Uihlein, Vivian Jungels, and Brooke “Sunshine” Greeley also marking the scoresheet for Edina.
The Icebreakers U12A Champs, Edina Green
The Chicago Young Americans were able to kill multiple late penalties to claim victory over Edina Green in the 15UA division final by a 3-1 score. Madison Ondrick scored two goals for the Young Americans, including a blind turnaround slap shot from a poor angle.
Ella Huber scored the lone goal of the third period, putting the Young Americans up 3-1 and cementing the victory.
