Edina Green won their final six games of the year including big wins over Edina White in the South Regional and Osseo Maple Grove Sunday in the State Tournament to clinch the title. Mark Rahn scored early in the third period to extend the Hornets 2-1 lead to 3-1 and they never looked back winning the title game going away 4-1.
Edina finished the season 36-6-1 with five of their losses coming by the hands of Edina White. Osseo Maple Grove also had a great year going 48-4-2 with two key losses in their home tournament and again in the state final to Edina Green.

Mitch Larson scored Sunday for Elk River
Edina Green beat Elk River 2-1 Sunday to claim the state Bantam B title in Moorhead. Brady Giertsen had both goals for the Hornets in their win. Mitch Larson scored in all three games for Elk River including a goal Sunday on the first shift of the game.
Edina settled down after that and were able to keep the high powered Elks under 20 shots on goal and take the title. Thomas Quello turned away 16 of 17 shots to earn the W for the Hornets Sunday.
