Last weekend two all star events took place, both with a long standing reputation of attracting the top players in the state for four game tournament. Minnesota Selects is held in St. Cloud and the Minnesota Super Series is hosted in Plymouth.
YHH took in a few games at each venue and saw some great players...some we had seen before and others who completely jumped out at us. Here is a recap of the results, some stats and a few new names to keep an eye out for.

Here are a handful of names that jumped out that we hadn't seen many times or at all.
Owen Hendrickson, Rosemount '04 - Big defenseman who controlled play with puck control and movement.
Isaac Johnson, Fergus Falls '05 - has good skill with and without the puck. Scored big goals for the North.
David Nesburg, Faribault Major PeeWee - great explosiveness and understanding of the game. Had a pile of points for the South team in the Super Series last weekend.
Carson Reed, Warroad '04 - great speed and hands - has great ice awareness. Has major upside.
Aiden Welch, White Bear Lake '04 - smart player who uses his body well to create space. Had five points in four games in Selects.
