The Mayflower Cup concluded pool play Saturday with four games at Plymouth Ice Center. The host team Minnesota Blades took a good punch from the NAS Capitals, but skated away with a 6-3 win to sweep pool play. The Capitals finished 3-1 after an 8-4 win over Miracle Gold and will face Belle Tire, arguably the best team in the US on Sunday morning.

Chaz Lucius and Luke Mittelstadt each had a goal and two assists to lead the Blades in their win over NAS. Mittelstadt is a catalyst for the Blades' attack from the back end - who was able to ice the game with a 192 foot shot into an empty net after Lucius was able to win a draw in his own zone.

Belle Tire clinched a spot into the #2/#3 play-in game Sunday with a 3-1 win over Saskatchewan's Huskie Prospects. Sasha Pastujov is second in scoring in the Mayflower with nine points (six goals, three assists). In their previous meeting, NAS beat Belle Tire 6-5 in OT.

YHH got its first glimpse of Sean Tschigeral from NAS who also has nine points on five goals and four assists. Tschigeral has great size and playmaking ability - seemed like every shift he was making a play.
