Tyler Haskins scores one of his three goals Wednesday
The first day of the 2016 NOW Prospects Combine kicked off with the obligatory registration, and after the paperwork and parent meeting were finished, it was time to hit the ice.
Teams Gray and Gold practiced first while teams Maroon and White took in a lecture and demonstration on Hans Skulstad, presented by Center for the Sports and the Mind. The lecture focused on the obstacles of mental unpreparedness, and how mental mistakes can hurt any talented team.
After lunch, the teams took the ice for full-on scrimmages, with Gray and Gold squaring off in the first match of the afternoon and Maroon and White following.
There will be some serious talent on the ice this week under the watchful eye of YHH, and the boys in the blue jackets don't plan on missing anything.

Alexander Bump, Gold - his strength on his skates gives him a lot of opportunities in the offensive zone - had a pair of goals and was very consistent and productive the whole game Tuesday.
Trey Fechko, Gray - gifted skater showed great hands and ability to finish around the net.
Drew Fisher, Gold - big body who has great combination of size and high hockey IQ, could be a breakout player at PeeWee AA next season.

Isaac Leeman, White - rangy defenseman who has no trouble with defending other team's top forward...can be dangerous when rushing the puck.
Cole Sitar, Maroon - was a beast in net for Maroon recording the first ever Combine shutout. Made the crowd ooh and ah a few times.
