Dylan Godbout scores on a wrap around Thursday for White
Day two of the 2016 NOW Prospects Combine saw the players grow more comfortable with each other, both on the off the ice.
Morning practices featured a great deal of movement and flow, with the drills suited to players who can move the puck and generate action.
The players took in a film session with former three-time Gopher captain and current assistant coach Grant Potulny, working on the finer points of backchecking and puck protection between scrimmages.
Team Maroon eked out a 6-5 win over Team Gold, making Maroon 2-0 over the combine’s first two days.
Team White cruised to a 5-2 win over Team Gray in the second game of the afternoon.

Game 1: Maroon 6, Gold 5
Joshua Giuliani scored off a great feed from Aiden McMahon with just under a minute to play to lift Team Maroon to the victory in the first scrimmage of the afternoon, which could very well be the most exciting scrimmage of the Mariucci sessions.
Tyler Haskins again impressed, scoring a hat trick and adding an assist to lead Team Maroon, which also got goals from Nick Blood and Tyler Kotzmacher. Haskins leads the combine with six goals and eight points in two games.
Luke Savage, Brody Lamb, Barrett Hall, Drew Fisher and Alexander Bump all tallied goals for Team Gold.

Game 2: White 5, Gray 2
Dylan Godbout scored twice to lead team White to the win, aided by goals from Mitchell Dokman, Dominick Bailiff and William Matzke.
Team White goaltenders Ethan Dahlmeir and Alec Juenke combined for a solid game between the pipes, turning away several scoring chances.
Trey Fechko and Gabriel Rasmussen scored for Team Gray, with Riley Dueber assisting on both goals.
Thor Byfuglien, Maroon - great skater who stands out on every shift with his skating and playmaking ability.
Dylan Godbout, White - the son of a former Gopher, Godbout looked at home in all three zones, had two goals to lead to a W.
Tyler Haskins, Maroon - there are 79 players at the Combine and Haskins. Has two or three highlight plays on every shift. Fun to watch.
Hayden Walters, White- Excellent puck skills coupled with great balance on skates.
