Anthony Romani's game-winner at the 1:27 mark of overtime gave him a Hatty, and secured The Show title for Ontario.
Ontario 5, Metropolitan 4 (OT)
In easily the best game of The Show, Ontario edged Metropolitan in overtime 5-4.
Anthony Romani of Ontario turned in his best performance of the tournament, scoring a Hatty and getting the game-winner in OT on assists by Carey Terrance and Cole Cooksey.
Romani managed to deflect a centering pass from Terrance past Metropolitan goaltender Ryan Sanborn, who had been outstanding throughout the game, less than 90 seconds into the extra session.
Salvatore Guzzo scored twice for Metropolitan, with Charles Dellavolpe and Eli Friedman adding one goal each. Guzzo’s play in the title game was nothing less than inspiring, highlighted by effort plays and superior backchecking.
Terrance had a goal and three assists for Ontario, and Colby Barlow scored Ontario’s only goal of the second period.
