Jackson Fields clearing space in front for the North Stars
The Kings knocked off the undefeated Penguins 3-2 Sunday in Moorhead in the Bantam Elite League. Bobby Brink had a goal and an assist and Garrett Pinoniemi pitched in a pair of helpers in the Kings win.
At the end of the first half, one of the officials was injured ending the half 90 seconds premature. In the second half, trailing 3-1 Matthew Gleason found Kai Stansberry on the back door and the Penguins made the game interesting down the stretch.
The Kings evened their record to 2-2 and will head to Bloomington next weekend with a shot at first place.

Blake Biondi had two goals for the Stars Sunday
The North Stars notched their first win of the Bantam Elite season beating the Flyers 5-2 Sunday in Moorhead. Hermantown's Blake Biondi lead the Stars with 2 goals. Hudson Hodges (Moorhead) and Thomas Webert (Edina) combined to stop 30 shots in the win for the north.
The Flyers pulled within 3-2 on Calvin Barrett's second goal of the weekend - but the north pulled away late on goals by Biondi and Greenway's Ben Troumbly.
Both the Stars and Flyers have four points with a regulation win (3) and a shootout loss (1) on the weekend.

Nathan Warner scores for the Bruins Sunday in Moorhead
The Bruins kept their record unbeaten knocking off the Blackhawks 4-2 Sunday in Moorhead in the Bantam Elite League. Bloomington's Grayson Hight scored the winner with 3:19 to go in the game on a pretty five hole shot past Konrad Kausch.
The Blackhawks could not hold two leads in the game, young guns Jack Novak and Landon Parker scored for the red. Bruins responded with goals by Sam Emmerich and Nathan Warner.
The Bruins leave Moorhead with two regulation wins and two shootout wins to claim first place in the league. The Blackhawks leave 1-3 on the weekend, but have a lot of optimism for the final 3 weekends.

Matt Gleason, Penguins - puts relentless pressure on his opponents in all three zones. Great skill, even better determination.

Austen Humphrey, Bruins - big player with a lot of tools, including great speed on the edges.
Nolan Krenzen, North Stars - smooth skater with great hands, makes good decisions with the puck.
