Lake Superior Stars 7, Miracle Gold 4
After a close first period, the Lake Superior Stars shot past Miracle Gold, scoring four times in the second period en route to the 7-4 win.
Abe Carlson and Max Plante opened the game with goals for Lake Superior before Tyler Geyer got Miracle Gold on the board near the end of the first.
Plante scored again for the Stars to open the second, with Geyer answering right back for Miracle Gold.
With the score standing at 3-2, Matt Kauippen, Abe Carlson and Max Plante scored in succession to help Lake Superior pull away. Cooper Conway scored for Miracle Gold in the second.
Austin Bernevik scored in the third for Miracle Gold, and Aaron Reierson capped the game with a goal for the Stars.
With a Hatty and a helper, Lake Superior Stars' Max Plante was named tourney MVP.
