Mitchell Vanderwey took over the game for FHC, using his speed and skills to record two goals and two assists to lead FHC to the 5-2 win over Euro American.
Vanderwey will be a player to keep an eye on throughout the Summer Finale at the 2006 Invite level.
Thunder Bay FHC also got two goals from Matthew Lysak and a single goal from Maccus Kourkanen.
Nick Carlson scored for Euro American to tie the game 1-1 in the first period before Thunder Bay FHC exploded for three unanswered goals. Luke Weisjahn scored the other goal for Euro American.

The boys in green zipped and zoomed all over the ice in the 8-1 win over Hometown Hockey, scoring four goals in the second period and three more in the third to earn the win.
Bryce Wiitala notched a Hatty for the Attack, which got one goal apiece from Dylan Otten, Jackson Reeves, Sam Schulte, Tre Pack and Brayden Plcl.
Mason Gilmore scored the lone goal for Hometown Hockey in the second period.
Despite the lopsided score, Hometown Hockey goaltender Ryan Rothfork turned in a spectacular performance in the last few minutes of the third period, turning away numerous point-blank chances and denying second-chance attempts by the Attack.
