If any player was to put the definitive stamp on a game, it would be Vivian Jungels.
The tournament Most Valuable Player iced Southwest’s championship win on Sunday with an empty-net goal, giving her a tournament-leading seven goals.
The Lindsay sisters put on their own show for Southwest, with Ava scoring the first goal for the Indians and notching the game-winner with just 1:32 left in the game by poking in a rebound. Sister Sadie dished out two assists for the Indians. Danielle Burgen exploded in the final, scoring a goal and recording two assists for the Indians.
Sloane Matthews scored for Jefferson just 1:24 into the first half, before the lead was quickly erased by Ava Lindsay. Morgan Wohlers tied the game 2-2 at the 8:17 mark of the second half before Ava Lindsay’s game-winner.
Boys Minor champs, Southwest.
Jimmy Clark earned a Hatty in the title game, picking up Tournament MVP honors in the process, as Southwest cruised past Johnson 6-1 to perch the Minor crown atop their collective head.
The Indians took a 2-0 lead after the first half, stalled in the scoring department by a superb performance by Johnson’s Louden McCoy between the pipes. Wyatt Carlson and Gavyn Thoreson potted goals for Southwest in the first half.
The Indians rattled off three unanswered goals to start the second half, with Jimmy Clark netting the first two goals and Thoreson getting the third.
Johnson’s Reese Shaw spoiled the shutout, putting the Govs on the board with 12:10 to play in the second frame. Clark added his third goal two minutes later for the Indians.

Boys Major champs, Roseau.
Josh Giuliani scored with 2:30 remaining in regulation to lift Roseau to the Major division title over Johnson in arguably the most exciting game of the day.
The Rams and the Govs battled the entire game, remaining tied from the 8:19 mark of the second half until Giuliani's goal.
Johnson scored the first goal of the game just 1:25 into the first half, with Reed Kluender marking the scoresheet. Gavin Lindberg answered for the Rams to tie the game at 1-1 after the first half.
Again in the second half Johnson held the upper hand, taking a 2-1 lead on a goal by Kellen Murphy. Roseau answered with Trey Fechko's goal less than four minutes later.
Giuliani won the game on a slick passing play, aided by Tournament MVP Cole Spicer's beautiful backdoor pass.
