Stillwater scored six or more goals three times en route to the finals, and earned a win over their championship game nemesis Burnsville on the first day of the tournament.
The Ponies earned wins over Lakeville 8-4, Burnsville 4-3 and Apple Valley 6-4 in Pool Play, and downed Tartan 9-1 in Sunday’s playoffs to fill a spot in the title game.
Burnsville clawed its way into the title game with a 6-5 win over Apple Valley, a 6-1 win over Lakeville and a 5-4 win over previously unbeaten Woodbury in the playoff. Woodbury had previously been un-scored on during the tourney.
Tartan would take third place on Sunday night with a 4-3 win over Woodbury in overtime.
Northern Edge and Lakeville also won games on Sunday in the consolation bracket, with the Northern Edge defeating Apple Valley 4-1 and Lakeville downing Green Bay by an identical 4-1 score.

Burnsville made it a game with two late goals, but Stillwater hung on for a 5-3 win to earn the championship trophy at the Woodbury Rumble on Sunday night.
The teams battled to a 0-0 tie after one period, with each goaltender withstanding the constant pressure.
The second frame kicked off with a goal from Stillwater, with Noah Tussey breaking the ice.
Burnsville tied the game 1-1 just 22 seconds later, as Benny Botz tapped in a rebound.
The tie was broken by a pair of goals from Stillwater with just 3:39 left in the period, as Nick Dario and Nelson Summary lit the lamp.
The Ponies scored two goals to open the third period, as Tyler Thureson and Luke Hamp extending the Stillwater lead to 5-1.
With 5:27 to go in the final period, Burnsville’s Korey Bell pulled the Blaze within three at 5-2, and Joe Anderson tacked on the final goal in the Blaze’s 5-3 loss.
