Meltdown Heats Up North Metro

As the first day of the 2017 Minnesota Meltdown comes to a close, the only two divisions that have clear leaders are the 2003 and 2006 levels, with those teams all playing twice on Friday. 

Gradient AAA and the Colorado Kodiaks take the top spot in 2003 Invite division, as both squads emerged from Day 1 with matching 2-0 records. Gradient downed the MN Ice Hawks 7-0 and the 2004 MN Blades 10-3, while the Kodiaks downed the Gentry Astros 8-1 and the Magicians AAA8-4.

Steeldogs Teal and the Colorado Kodiaks will enter day two with 2-0 records in the 2006 Invite division. The Steeldogs beat the Gentry Astros Gold 8-1 and edged Miracle Gold 5-4, and the Kodiaks snuck past Miracle Gold 5-4 and cruised past the Green Bay Hornets 8-3.
