Grant Kohnen and Brendan Connor went head-to-head Thursday afternoon.

Mariucci Magic Part Deaux

Day two, and just like the Combine participants before them, the 2017 players are starting to get more comfortable together.

That familiarity means that at some point the aggressive play will ramp up, and Thursday's games did not disappoint.

All four teams skated a little harder and took more chances, and after the whistle forwards habitually took their time leaving the opposing goal crease.

As of Thursday, Team Grey is the only undefeated team of the full-ice sessions after a 3-1 win over Team White in the second game of the afternoon.

The teams will one final crack on the Mariucci ice tomorrow before shuffling east to the LumberYard 3-on-3 facility in Stillwater, where offense reigns supreme and goaltenders are constantly bombarded with shots and offensive rushes.

Gold 10, Maroon 4

Propelled by a seven-goal second half, Team Gold avenged a loss yesterday with a big-time win over Maroon.

Pacing the victory lap was the combination of Tory Lund and Charlie Olsen of Team Gold, as Lund finished the game with a pair of goals and Olsen tallied a hatty.

Tate Pritchard, Trey Gnetz, Rocco Seymour, Zachary Nehring and Maxwell Roby all chipped in single goals for Team Gold.

Scoring for Team Maroon was Haden Henke, Tyson Loeffler, Nicholas Karam and Jake Fisher.

Grey 3, White 1

In one of the lowest-scoring games in the three-year history of the NOW Prospects Combine, Team Grey edged Team White to remain undefeated at 2-0.

Tallying goals for Team Grey were Brendan Connor, Blayne Mortenson and Eddie Sandven, and providing the performance between the pipes were netminders Robert Clarkowski and Maclain Weasler.

Karson Raymond scored the lone goal of the afternoon for Team White on an assist from Ty Tuccitto.

Players to Watch

Kyle Henke, Grey

A smooth skater with solid hands and knack for making the right play with startling consistency.

Maclain Weasler and Robert Clarkowski, Grey

The goaltending tandem stalled a high-powered group from Team White on Thursday.

Charlie Olsen, Gold

Olsen has shown a penchant for scoring goals so far, netting a Hatty on Thursday for Team Gold.

Joseph Schiller, White

Schiller combines a powerful first stride with excellent balance. Never seems out of place on the ice.

Carter Davis, Maroon

Skates well with the puck and is capable of making the big play.

Joseph Schiller's skates are tough to beat.
