In a championship game that featured six of the tournament's leading scorers, goaltending took center stage as Andover edged Edina Green 2-1 after seven-round shootout. 

Eva Bock played the hero for the Huskies, sending a rocket wristshot past Edina Green's Sarah Peterson glove for the game-winner after Peterson and Andover netminder Annika Ahlstrand shutting down shooter after shooter. 

Josie Hemp kicked off the scoring with a goal for Andover in the first period, a tally that we equaled in the next period by Edina Green's Ellie Chapman. The teams battled through a scoreless third period, with both goalies making a number of key saves before taking their place as the highlight of the shootout round. 

Andover's Isa Goettl was named tournament Most Valuable Player after racking up 10 goals and 18 points for Andover, as was one of three Huskies to rank among the top three scorers in the tournament. Josie Hemp (eight goals, 15 points), and Halle Dunleavy (three goals, nine points) rounded out the high-flying Andover trio.  

Despite yet another standout performance by Fargo (ND) goaltender Taylor Kressin, Andover powered past the Freeze 4-0 to claim the first December Danglefest 10A championship. 

Mackenzie Jones scored her sixth goal of the tournament to give the Huskies a 1-0 lead with 9:37 to play in the first period, but the Freeze defense tightened and refused to allow any more goals in the first frame. 

In the second period, Emily Stromberg stretched the Andover lead to 2-0, but again Kressin and Freeze stiffened and shut out the Huskies for the rest of the period. Jones would add her seventh tournament goal in the third, and Courtney Little tacked on an insurance goal after Jones' to solidify the win for the Huskies. 

Andover goaltender Layla Hemp recorded three shutouts in four games for the Huskies, while Jones was named tournament Most Valuable Player after her seven-goal performance.
