90 players including Hermantown's Wyatt Carlson get the early nod for Fall 2018

It's no minor deal

The Minnesota Bantam Elite League announced Monday its 96 invites to its new Minor Bantam Elite League. Starting in the Fall of 2018, 102 players will take the ice on six teams over three weekends. Teams composed of 17 players will face off in two league weekends in  Grand Forks, ND and Mendota Heights for playoff seeding. The final weekend will be held in Bloomington at the historic Bloomington Ice Garden where teams will vie for the league championship.

Players born at the Minor Bantam level according to Minnesota Hockey standards (July 1, 2004 to June 30, 2005) will skate in the first year of the league. "It is really exciting to see the growth of our league over the past five years," said league administrator Todd Hauch. "When this first started we had no idea how successful the league would be."

Boasting over 50 division one commitments and counting, the league is the cornerstone of elite Bantam players in the month of August and September.
