After national camp decisions, the picture becomes clearer about the players who will emerge this coming season.

Chaska defenseman Mike Koster is one of the top returning defenders statewide. Koster is committed to Minnesota.

Spring Fever

With the High Performance weekend in the rearview mirror and the national camps for the 16's and 17's set for the summer, the last week of April offers a unique opportunity to measure preseason firepower.

Players have managed to separate themselves based on their performances during the HP tryouts and have made progress even in the small window between the high school season and the start of spring/summer hockey. Some players are adding new skills to their arsenal. Some will grown five inches. Some are working to add strength and bulk. Some have cut their skates into more efficient stride power.

With high school tryouts still five months away, here is a look at some of the players who can make a significant impact during the 2018-2019 high school season.
