Game One: Minot 2, Fairbanks 0

Samu Lonkila's strong postseason performance continued on Saturday with 30 saves, including 16 in the third period, as Minot scraped its way past No. 1 seed Fairbanks 2-0 to force a win-or-go-home third game in the Robertson Cup semifinals at Fogerty Ice Arena.

Miroslav Mucha scored the first goal for the Minotauros at the 6:33 mark of the third to break a scoreless deadlock, sparking an offensive barrage of shots and puck possession by Fairbanks for the next several minutes.

With 1:13 remaining in the third, Alex Adams iced the game with an empty-net goal for the Minotauros, who also managed to kill off all three penalties against the Ice Dogs' power play united that had been clicking along at a 16.2% clip.

Game Two: Shreveport 2, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 1

A pair of late goals by Ryan Burnett and Gueorgui Fedulov lifted No. 2 seed Shreveport to a thrilling 2-1 win over Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Saturday night, sending the Mudbugs to the Robertson Cup finals on Monday.

The Knights took the initial 1-0 lead on a goal by Lincoln Hatten, with the score coming just 53 seconds into the second period. Goaltender Christian Stoever held off the Mudbugs until the 5:02 mark of the third period when Burnett notched his second goal of the series.

Fedulov scored just over two minutes later on the power play, banging in a loose puck after the Mudbugs poured on the pressure for the bulk of the man-advantage. The Knights continued to hamper themselves by taking bad penalties, and could not find a clean shot on net in the final moments.

Shreveport will face the winner of Fairbanks and Minor on Monday night.
