Joe Gramer (left) scores for White 1 in Sunday's win over Gold 1.
Thanks in large part to a seven-goal performance by Zam Plante, White 1 breezed past Gold 1 in the finals of the combine's three-on-three portion by a score of 19-11.
A rapid succession of goals by White 1 in the second half broke open a previously close game, with clutch goaltending evident on both sides by White 1's Robert Clarkowski and Gold 1's combination of Wes Johnson and Gavin Olson.
Ty Tuccitto and Gavin Black each recorded three goals in the win for White 1, with Abe Carlson and Joe Gramer each totaling two goals and single scores coming from John Novak and Connor Dewandler.
Kyle Ahlschlager scored three times in the loss for Gold 1, with two goals each coming from Charlie Sandven and Tate Pritchard. Aidan Willis, Ben Gerard, Joe Schiller and Charlie Hoch all chipped in single goals for Gold 1.
White 1 goaltender Robert Clarkowski makes a sprawling save on Gold 1's Ben Gerard during Sunday's title game.
