Sam Scheetz was one of several players who stood out for Chaska/Chanhassen during its run to the Big Pumpkin title.

Tournament weekends are filled with victories away from the ice.

Some are small, like an offer to grab Starbucks for the crew, or finding an extra bag of Sour Patch Kids in your backpack.

At the risk of sounding hyperbolic, some victories are monumental, like having volunteers in the penalty box enthusiastically playing music and tracking shots, elements of a tournament that make the experience that much more special for the players.

And then there are the victories that come along with a familiar opening line; "You know (whom) I thought played well today?"

The line comes from parents of a different team. It comes from the penalty box volunteers who spend every moment of the game watching the action. It comes from tournament organizers, opposing coaches, even players between games.

There were several of those players that were highlighted by onlookers this weekend, and you'll find those names here, as Youth Hockey Hub is proud to present the 2018 Big Pumpkin All-Tournament Team.

Hermantown's Nolan Barker helped lead a staunch Hawks defense to the Black Bracket finals in Moorhead.
