The Green Grinches scored the final three goals of Tuesday night's game against Roseville en route to a 9-7 win over the Raiders in the finals of the New Year's Challenge Squirt B/C Division at The Pond in Rosemount. 

Preston Skoog, Wyatt Proshek, and Jonah Johnson scored the three goals that pulled the Green Grinches even with the Raiders at 7-7, ahead 8-7, and cemented in victory at 9-7. Proshek and Johnson led the Green grinches with three goals each in the win. In addition to Proshek, Johnson, and Skoog, Ethan Mann and Max Henrickson also scored for the Grinches. 

Beckam Strohmeier scored twice in the loss for Roseville, which also got goals from Beckam Jones, Aeson Kiley, Oliver Hopeman, Carlo Reynolds, and Nic Westby. Reynolds and Jackson Murphy led the Raiders with nine goals each in three games. 

Goaltender Charlie Scanlon of the Green Grinches was named Most Valuable Player, while offensively in the Grinches were led by Johnson and Proshek with 19 and 12 goals respectively.
